That isn't true at all. All issues have been identified and fixed with the latest bios updates.

They've been fixed according to Intel. I'd say it's still a little too early to trust them. We need some time for the community to stress test them and look for any performance degradation or extra throttling applied by the updates.

Also, two things worth noting:

This is like the third time Intel told us they fixed this. They were also very confident the first two times.
Their response to this issue overall hasn't been great, so I'm not sure I trust them to clean up this mess completely.

People who actually play PC games. You aren't playing MSFS 2000, iRacing or any other AAA game on a Mac mini.

Intel released a statement about extending the warranty to cover OEMs. I waited a couple of weeks after the news release and neither MSI nor Costco posted anything regarding the issue and whether the warranty would be extended. I returned my unopened box.

Is this one of the better recent deals? I'm thinking of pulling the plug. Would it be much cheaper if I were to build with same specs?
Maybe, but time building it is a cost and these are supposed to be plug and play.
I think this video card alone is like 1200 so you'd be almost breaking even but building with a better case, psu, mobo.

Avoid all 13-14th gen intel cpus as they are all messed up even after the bios fix still issues
You are just regurgitating what you saw other people say...people that don't know what they are talking about. The issues have been resolved since August. They also increased the warranty to 5 years. No issue purchasing this processor at this point.

I bought this in early August, so far NO issues. I tried to build it with the same hardware and it was ~$300 more than Costco, plus my time. I paid $2,400 on sale and would buy it again. First desktop I've bought since my first in the late 90s, I've built about 20 since then for myself and others.

It seems reasonable to believe that Intel is motivated to really fix the problem. They were already struggling and the risk to their reputation is worth a fortune. The only question left in my mind is whether they are capable of fixing it. It's still feels like a bit of gamble, but it's not like AMD has a spotless reliability record either.

Personally I find the certainty of AMD's lower power and cooling requirements a more compelling reason to buy their stuff than predictions of their relative reliability.

I've looked on the Costco site and read the comments, don't see any mention of what type of motherboard it comes with. Does anybody here who's purchased this know?

Both sides are good.

One side is regurgitating that there's still a chance Intel chips can still be faulty even after the "fix".. Since you know, the fix they initially provided in June didn't actually "fix" it right? Or something like that.

Then we have your side that just regurgitates whatever Intel says. If they say it's been fixed then it's fixed and big companies never ever triple dog dare never lie lol
