Is it wise to buy at $199 at Costco with 2 years of Applecare+ or this?
I suppose it depends on how much you value applecare. Many credit cards today extend the manufacturers warranty by an additional year but you have to go through your CC to make that claim and it may take some time vs. applecare which is pretty quick. Just depends on how price sensitive you are to about $10-15.

Depends. I just had a Target Circle deal to get $20 back, plus I get 5% back from Red Card. So that sort of means I got these for $173 after tax. Or around $162 pre-tax. So if you have Target Circle deals, maybe it isn't worth the extra $27 at Costco...
BUT
I only bought the new ones because my Airpods Pro (Gen 1) are out of warranty/no Applecare and the Right one crackles when I have noise canceling turned on, but work great when turned off. I was sitting at Apple for an hour to get support and found the sale at Target. So when they came out and told me 'sorry you have errors but no warranty, we can sell you a replacement R Airpod for $89+tax", I said, I will just go get the 2's at Target...thanks.

Thanks for bringing up Costco. For me it's worth the $10 for the extra protection and for the return policy of the store.

I'm primarily buying these for the upcoming hearing aid functionality; my AirPods Pro 1st gen still work great. Volume control will be nice too.
Although, when using Target Recard the price is around $180 before tax and then I also have $10 offer from Target Circle for purchases over $80, which would make this around $170, which is about as low as they ever get.
If Costco ran a sale, then Costco would be a no brainer with AC included.

same here, plus I had the $50 still sitting on the target reloadable debit....unless there are really really good deals this week, probably end up keeping this. p/u today but won't open them until tomorrow just to see.

I'm in the exact same boat here. Sucks extra since the crackle is due to a hardware problem. They once had a quiet replacement quality program for them, but it's ended now
