Only difference between the two models are the charging port. If you plan to use an older iPhone before 15, then these would be perfect. As they charge via Lightning. The newer one uses Type C.

Only one model really. Newest version the only difference is usb-c instead of lightning.

Yup - no way the "new" ones are worth $150 more for a USB-C port as that's the only difference.

Personally I'm a fan of Type C everything. I hate how the Magic KB and Mouse/TrackPad 2 I own is lightning as I haven't touched lightning since I got the 15PM at launch. So finding a cord I have annoys me. So, I don't use my launch AirPods Max as much as I should lol.

Oh myself as well - the only micro-usb items I have left are my dualshock 4 controllers.

I would've said the same, but the $4,400 Hearing Aids I got in 2020 (They expected me to replace this year) uses Micro! Like what the F is that? Micro was long gone then too. haha.

Paying usual retail for a discontinued model....not a deal. These should be $299, at least.

Sonos has a little better noise cancellation, a little less better transparency mode, much more comfortable and lighter. Spacial audio is great on both. Headband design on max is pretty bad as it starts to sag quickly. Sound quality is good not great on either one. The sound is tuned differently on each. Max is just too old to consider with all the new choices. Wait for Black Friday in any case

I agree as I returned the Sonos ace and kept the APM simply bc they are way better on the apple eco system. I just wish the APM was as comfortable and had an on and off button like the Sonos.
