If you have a microcenter near you i would highly recommend getting a 7600x + mobo + ram bundle for $300 there instead. It has a less fancy motherboard but for an entry level build it makes a lot more sense to spend closer to $300ish for cpu/mobo/ram than close to $500
The cheapest worth it cpu for that motherboard would be the ryzen 7600 but for an additional $5ish + $30ish (for cooler as the x variant does not come with one) you can get the 7600x
Decent 1tb nvme ssd can be found for $60-70 and you can go cheaper too
Decent psu can be found for ~80ish
decent cases can be found from $65 like the montech x3 mesh (i have not tried this case myself but i have been hearing good things about montech for the price)
for coolers you cant beat the thermalright peerless assassin 120/140 for the price of $30-40
this brings the total with the newegg bundle to ~$750ish
or with the microcenter bundle to ~$550ish
note i did not price a gpu for you since those can really cost as much as you want it to.
You'd need: AM5 CPU, GPU, PSU, SSD, CPU Cooler and Case. The price to complete would vary wildly by the specs you want and quality of components. I'd suggest pcpartpicker for a starting point.
Never built a system. To complete this system, I need graphic card, PSU, and case? Would be a reasonable price to complete this build? I'm not trying to drop $1k, just want an entry-level gaming system.

I would stay away from Asus motherboards altogether! They used to be the go to for these parts, but now they don't stand behind their products. I had a board from them that was defective that I paid more than $250, they refused to stand behind their own warranty. I then started hearing about many others going through the same thing, and then tech Youtubers reporting on it.
Had some bad experiences with Asus RMA. MSI, Corsair, AsRock (the company that they spun off for low end boards) and Gigabyte have all been fair with their warranties. Been Avoiding ASUS on all new builds.

I can't speak to warranties and all that what not, but I built my computer in 2012 with a a micro ATX ASUS TUF motherboard, and it's still kicking. Asus isn't great about drivers after Microsoft changes operating systems four times five times since then, but then I guess that's to be expected. And I haven't had to deal with the RMA at least. Pretty sure they shot themselves in the foot with their steam deck competitor device, the rog ally.
I can vouch for Twelve_of_Spades' suggestion on the Montech cases. They're solid cases and most of them come with multiple fans for a much cheaper price than the more expensive Lian Li, NZXT, or HYTE cases. Also, if you go to Microcenter, they also have the Inland brand which is the Microcenter in house brand. They're made in the same warehouse as the Montech cases.
I wouldn't be too afraid to go asus. I've used a lot of parts from them over the years, currently using x670e-i, zenwifi pro (a beast of a mesh system) zenbook pro 16. After 20yrs of using various asus products, I've never had to rma anything. I'd be more concerned if their failure was high vs bad rma practices
While you CAN use a 7000 series cpu with this board. Why would you? You would be nerfing the board with a 7600. Wouldn't be able to use the gen 5 m.2, wouldn't take full advantage of the available lanes, wouldn't take full advantage of usb4, allegedly will limit the included ram to 5200 instead of 6400.
Don't put a 7000 on this board. If you're getting a 7000 series cpu just get one the many other bundles geared to that like he said.

this is not an entry-level motherboard. you can easily find an AM5 motherboard for half the price.

The entry level motherboard would be about $150 but the ram would still cost you $100, so this combo is not looking so bad and you are getting a bit more than entry level. On the personal side I don't really fancy this board because there are limits on PCIe and M.2, if you are using M.2_X then PCIe Y is disabled and the inverse is also true. At that point I would just buy an X670e ASRock board the ones going for about $200. I like the Asus higher end board but there is an Asus tax of like $50 more per board so one would need to buy open box or used.

If you want i can help you with a build you just need to let me know new or used? And budget
