What I want to know, is who makes shirts that aren't shit after wearing them for a year or two... I am not sure I care how much it costs, I just want something that stays soft and still looks new for more than a handful of washes
Chances are, you need to invest in better washing methods.

Stop using fabric softener. It's a scam.

If your washer has an agitator, you really need to pay attention to what settings you're using, on top of what else is going into your wash cycle. It's annoying, but jeans and such are abrasive.

If you use excessive perfumes and body washes, presoak in vinegar and then run a rinse to neutralize.

And the real painful one? Your water supply is probably bad. You can install a whole house filter or just a pre-filter for the washer, but neither is cheap if you lack DIY skills.

Regardless, definitely don't buy Lululemon.

I will 100% guarantee my Walmart shirt will not need to be replaced within a year. I've never in my life owned a shirt that needed to be replaced that quickly. What the heck are you doing to your shirts?!?!
I use them for life - hiking, outdoors, biking, sports, etc.

My point still stands. Your Walmart shirt looks like a Walmart shirt. One day you'll realize buying quality is more important than being cheap.

First of all, this is an ugly color (but I'd still buy it if I wanted to). Secondly, for this price it should have moisture wicking and anti-stain properties in it.

Easy no-go for me.

This reminded me of the time I bought a Banana Republic shirt on sale for $30, only to see the exact shirt sold at Walmart for $8 regular price.
