These name brand filter outfits have lost their minds with these crazy prices. I'd buy an external filter and mount it to the back of the refrigerator before paying $35 for such a tiny filter.

Still so expensive. I'll consider name brand again when it gets under $20

I use the exact same ones and absolutely no issues. Highly recommended. Does the job at a significant fraction of the OEM filters

If you want the same NSF certs, this one from same company Waterdrop - $28 lightning deal for 3 pack: https://www.amazon.com/Waterdrop-...B01GAAJJ6Y

Philips also has a similar NSF 42, 53, 401, 372 covered three pack

Don't forget to check FB marketplace. I often find people letting them go for cheap or free, cuz they replaced their fridge and the new one uses different filters than the old

Home Depot has the HDX brand equivalent of these filters, at half the cost as regular MSRP, and may be worth looking into.

Every one of these I have bought from Amazon has been a fake, they stop working almost immediately. Ones bought from b&m don't have this problem, only Amazon.
Sucks because paying full retail is even worse but at least they work that way

They do? I see HDX equivalents for most filter types except for these Whirlpool ones. Link?

Absolutely agree. We were using these overpriced OEM filters for years. Tried these generic ones and not a single person in my family noticed any difference. We do live in an area with decent water

I agree, if you're going to go with an off brand, make sure it's NSF cert are traceable and matches what the brand named ones filter for. which usually mean the "Plus" or "Premium" versions of their normal offerings.
Also I love that the Whirlpool filter Amazon page just randomly has a guy holding a water bottle.
