Picked one of the refurbished ones up during previous BL sale. All in all, happy with it but a couple things to know; 1.) Staff were under the impression that it was refurbished from the factory, which it was not; 2.) Hotend assembly was there but no accessories or sample filament that comes with new machine. 3.) I love my P1S but it's never just worked the way others describe, so I suspect it was returned for a reason. I could have returned it to Microcenter for a full refund within 15 days but felt too new to 3D printing to make a call about its quality at that point. So…if you find one of these, my rec would be to get it if you're already comfortable with 3D printing but stick to new if not. HTH someone!

Also, as someone that hasn't bought one yet but has done a bunch of research (and work with several people that have Bambu printers), the AMS is worth it, and at $350 to add on it brings you to $850 which is the price of a new P1S combo with AMS.

And as far as it just worked like people describe, they are not like clicking print on a paper printer there will still be adjusting to get everything working just right. Once you get it setup for a material it should just keep printing. Older/cheaper printers are more of a you have to fight it every time you print, so it should be much nicer than that 😂

Oh, wow, good call! I didn't notice that it lacked the AMS. Definitely pay upfront for the AMS, if you can and if this is going to be your only or first 3D printer. I checked out my local store's offerings yesterday and found a refurbished A1 Mini without AMS for $20 off - so basically a $35 discount compared to ordering new from BL, with shipping charge factored in. I just reserved it but I'm still going back and forth about whether to cancel. I'm actively shopping for an A1 mini without the AMS to help me keep up with my endless print queue. (PRO TIP: Never tell your friends, family, or coworkers you have a 3D printer!) The refurbished P1S Combo they sold me over the summer was more steeply discounted, though, making me think better deals are coming. That said, waiting carries its own costs. If anyone wants to help me break my analysis paralysis, by all means, speak up Wink

As for "it just works," amen! I do think the descriptions misleading to beginners who are coming in without the context you mentioned. On the other hand, I read posts all the time with comments like, I've had my machine for 6 months and I've never had to clean my bed plate/perform any basic maintenance/dry my filaments! I, on the other hand, have already gone through at least ten 36+ hour troubleshooting marathons since July. Funnily enough, I now appreciate the argument that starting with a cheap Crealty gives you the chance to really understand how 3D printing works. I've learned so much struggling, say, to figure out why I get stringing on all of my prints.
