Just called my local GS in MD and they said there's currently a bug in their system which is not matching credit and cash trade in values. Apparently it's affecting all stores and so I'd be unable to get the entire trade in value as cash until it's resolved.
Has this been the case for anyone else?
First store I went to on Sunday had internet and phone issues that went back to last Tuesday. This was store specific. Second store I went to I had no problem getting $192.50 cash in hand for a Series S.
And they need to be "drift-free".
I traded my Series S a month ago ($272), and they connected the controller to their pc running some kind of software to validate the buttons were working and had no drift.
Damn it and here I was ready to offload my Series X controller with stick drift on them. 😔
They definitely dropped their prices recently by about 20% on the older consoles.
Confirmed they drop prices and it appears to be across the board - I missed this the last time they did it and was glad I did because store credit for an XSS ended up being $220 vs the $192.50 showing now

I doubt that all stores have that software. I've never had controllers checked ftp drift so it's YMMV
Just for the record, the price of the PS5 Pro is $700, not $800.
It's about $830 after disc drive and sales tax. And yes, I'm factoring in disc drive because this is a "pro" model, which is implying the definitive/complete way to play PS5 games.

I only commented because you said "$800 and then having to buy the addons such as the disk drive". This wording implies that it's $800 + the $80 disc drive, which is incorrect. I didn't want others to be mislead.

The fact that you have to buy a disk drive is pathetic. Nothing pro about something that costs twice as much and still isn't ready to play

Thoughts on trading in an Xbox One x? It's showing $67. Has anybody done this and is it worth it? Wondering if I might as well just keep it because it plays older games pretty nicely.

I've waited too long to trade in my PS five for the best credit opportunity on a pro.
What are my options now to get the best bang for my buck? Or should I wait until closer to Christmas? I don't need the pro right now.
They had a trade credit value of $410 just a few weeks ago.
I would wait until November. It seems like they are eager to get consoles in for the holidays
Personally, I am skipping the pro. Seems expensive at $800 and then having to buy the addons such as the disk drive
So it's basically a hit or miss on waiting. You can get a possible higher value or you could trade now at the current value
