XM3: uses Bluetooth 4.2 and cannot multipoint but supports aptx, oversensitive touch controls, boomier bass but better default treble
I own both. ANC is noticeably better on XM4 but not so much for me to prefer using it over my XM3. On the XM4 the treble range has an uncharacteristic harshness which can be mostly addressed through equalizer settings, although I find the XM3 better sounding overall after toning down the bass, especially when connected to Android devices and using aptx. App has equalizer and some optimization functions, but the app is otherwise unnecessary and can be uninstalled. I rarely use any of the additional features on the XM4. Mic is serviceable on both but generally inferior compared to headsets primarily intended for calls.

Anyway, there's a good chance Best Buy will sell them at this price in the near future. Since Target and Amazon are at the same price my guess is it's a manufacturer driven sale?
