I got one refurb off eBay for $489, 1 year all state warranty included.

I love it. I can play assassins creed off my Xbox Play account, and games from my steam account. I like the Go over a Steam deck (which my brother owns), because I can use this like a laptop. I've watched movies, edited spreadsheets and documents, and browsed the Internet. Just snag a cheap small keyboard and mouse. Also nice that my 65w USB c phone chargers works for this too.
This could change, but it's been over a decade since I've seen the kind of support they are giving the Go. I accidently choose to download files from the internet rather than locally when resetting my OS. It corrupted. I couldn't get my sound to work properly. They next day'd a USB drive for free. I still had issues. They sent a box and depot repaired it in 2 days. They called my about 4 times after the repair to make sure I was happy and it was done properly. You can go on the Go FB groups and see people having the same experiences. It's wild. If you break a controller, they send replacements immediately. I have no idea why they are supporting the Go like this but they are. It's absolutely not the same support group as the laptops. I'm not trying to say Lenovo support has changed, but don't let the support issue keep you from getting one.

From what I saw the ASUS is a middle between the steam deck and the go. The ally does look pretty nice but the joycons aren't detachable and it's still a smaller screen. I think it has more RAM from what I saw.

Picked up a certified refurb on eBay a few weeks ago, I'm enjoying it - can't say that I'm always on it, but nice to pick up and play a few min here and there. I don't think I would buy it again, just based on my usage - but I'm not going to return it.

Definitely better than Ally in my eyes just for the bigger screen at the very least. Removable pads are a novelty (don't really use it). Plus Lenovo said they'll support it for a while (granted with Slooooow updates)

You can do all that on the steam deck too
Isn't it Linux based? Also the joy cons are detachable and the screen is bigger.

I'm not fond of Lenovo products. Two years ago, I purchased a Lenovo smart frame, but they completely stopped supporting it. Now, I have a paperweight e-waste. In addition, Lenovo doesn't support its products.
