The reviews don't seem that stellar, can anyone provide any insight on their experience? Some reviews mentioned: extreme battery consumption and locking out after a few months

Anyone know the clearance needed if I want to install this with their eufy c220 deadbolt? Can't seem to find exact dimensions of the device

I had this for my garage/Kitchen entrance and it was really bad. I had to factory reset it twice ... eufy sent me a replacement ... that stopped working within 3 months. The battery kept going out within 2 months and i had to recharge it every time. Also the lock jammed up on me 3 times and had to use the manual key every time which became frustrating as I own alot of Eufy products and they all work flawlessly. I would say this was one of the worst products i used with Eufy and their customer service was great in replacing it 3 times but i gave up after 3 times and they gave me a full refund.

I ended up hiring a handyman and had him do a deadbolt above the handle door and ended up buying the eufy Smart Lock S230. i have both of the S230's on my main front door and one in the garage/kitchen entrance. The batteries last even longer now i would say 6 months with moderate use and 4-5 months with heavy use.

What batteries are you using?
I use Energizer Lithium batteries and they last - different lock, but I guess same principle

I bought a C33 about the same price when they had promotion a few months ago. I have to say this is the worst device I've ever used. The battery exhausted every week for a new set of 8 AA. I thought it may be an isolated case, and requested a replacement. But the situation remains the same. I have to replace 8 batteries every week. Then I switched to chargeable batteries. The interval shortened to 4 days. I have many Eufy products, cameras, robot vacuums, they all work fine, and almost no maintenance. This one is by far the worst one in their products line.

EUFY website claiming batteries should last 12 months, if it auto-unlocks approx 20/day.

For those who have this, does turning Auto-Lock option "OFF" help extend battery life ?

I installed this about a month ago for my gate and it's been great! Fingerprint hasn't been an issue and I'll use the physical key when I want it to remain unlocked. My friend did the same for his size gate entrance and ended up replacing the garage door access and back for entrance with it. I guess we're in the few that loves it but I wish I went to it sooner. Maybe they've update it since?

I tried both Duracell Optimum and Energizer as well. Maybe I got unlucky with the first unit since it was defective, but I experienced the same issue with the other two units. This is the only Eufy product I haven't had luck with
