Is it worth waiting for 120hz native TVs to come closer to this price?
You can...but I guess to note this is a low-model 4K TV, so whichever one does hit that mark may not have options to turn off the "soap opera" effect that 120hz can provide...and likely the streaming channels you may use are going to be at 720p or at best 1080p unless you have a 4K package, so you risk streaming a 720p show w/a very fluid picture.
I'm thinking of buying this for my exercise room and replacing the decade old 1080p as it is so thick that it sticks out on the wall vs this that would be more flush w/less bezel....so losing the 5 inches won't matter
If you are planning to use it for fiercely competitive counterstrike / valorant, yes. Otherwise, no. No reason for 120 hz tv beyond competitive gaming
Of course there is, 120 Hz TVs weren't popularized for gaming. 120/5 = 24, as in 24 hz, as in 24 fps, as in the speed movies are filmed at. 120 Hz support is mostly for judder free playback of 24p content, gaming is a nice bonus.
anyone know if the picture of the Hisense is better than Insignia fire TV 43" for 139? I just got the Insignia, so far i'm liking it, wondering if its worth returning for this though.

I would NOT recommend the Hisense brand, even with the protection of buying from Costco. I purchased a 55" model from Costco. Within a few months, it started developing black spots in the middle. It took 3 months and multiple emails and phone calls to finally get a response. Despite a ton of photos showing the issue, they said a tech had to come out to examine it. The tech said that Hisense tries to say that users have an insect infestation, then if that doesn't work, a dust problem. Apparently my issue was that the front panel wasn't glued on properly. He was instructed to destroy the television and I had to wait days for the new one to be shipped and delivered. The second television started developing the same black spots within about a month. I haven't bothered to try to get the second unit replaced because it was just too much hassle. I am just going to ignore the black spots and use this one until I can get a better brand.

I was mainly wanting to use the TV for my bedroom, watching NFL and other sports with some streaming from other services. I was thinking 120hz would be better for football.
edit: I guess I don't know how to quote in this forum anymore.
