I bought this keyboard for $35 two years ago. The first thing that went out was the volume control knob in the top right corner. It would only turn the volume up no matter which direction you would turn it. It broke less than a month after the warranty expired. I also didn't like the typing experience. The linear keys were too sensitive for me.

I got this keyboard less than a year ago. If you've never used linear keys, you'll probably hate these. I've gotten used to it. If you want a mechanical keyboard with removable switches, you've found your board. It feels pretty sturdy too. I can press at least 6 simultaneous keys in a game (I think it's all of them).

My volume knob thing still works, but who knows, the warranty's ending soon!

I still sometimes mis-press when playing a game. Also, virtually every word I type has a random J in it now. The minimum actuation distance is crazy shallow and there's no feedback, while I think most people press their keys all the way down.

I'm still happy with the keyboard though. For $30, I might buy another.

Typing on a EVGA Z15 now. Have had it a bit over two years.
Very nice switches(warning, crazy sensitive, but thats what I wanted), decent hotswap base. Warning, hotswap bases are super sensitive to moisture. Dries out, returns to working but a single droplet will wick in.
Keycaps are very low quality, had to replace three so far. Running a whole new set (~20$ and soooo much nicer) right now.
Decent enough. Might rec the Z20 over it typically but stock. Very good for 30-40$, a reasonable 60$ mechanical. But its just that. A cheap if midly better built mechanical.

Silver switches were very sensitive for me. I like to heavily rest my thumbs on space bar but the silver switches had too little resistance and would actuate.
Switched all the keys to bronze which have more resistance and have had the keyboard for two years. My volume rocker still works fine.
I like the function to disable windows key gaming.

I've got this keyboard. I swapped out the keys for copper switches to get a tactile switch instead of the linear or clickly options that it offers out of the box. Back in the day they sold boxes of replacement switches for that. I haven't had any problems with and I'm happy with it. Typing this message on it.

I've had 3 EVGA Z15 keyboards for over 2 years and paid similar back then. It's an inexpensive keyboard to get into mechanical keyboard modding. It's easy to keep clean. Easy to replace keys and keycaps. I replaced the keycaps with pudding caps to better show off the lighting.
One of the three is my daily driver. Nothing has broke so far. My wife has one also and has not complained. 😀

I have this keyboard! RGB is great switches are way too sensitive for me. I swapped them out for some matcha green switches though and the keyboard feels awesome now. The volume control wheel feels nice too. I think it's worth it a $30

I have two of these - took one into the office for work and have one at home. Love the keyboard as it's a cheap hot swappable full size keyboard with media buttons. The one at work I've been using for two years now and has been working well, though I swapped out the switches to browns so they're quiet-ish and tactile.

ROFL, all of you buying a hot swappable keyboard and then complaining about how sensitive the keys are... SWAP THEM! That's the entire point.

Take some time and look at what type of switches you think would work best for you. 90+% of people buying the Speed Silver are going to hate it, so expect to spend $15-50 more to find switches that fit your style. I use Pro Purple and love this keyboard, it's an excellent entry into mechanical keyboards.
