Thanks to Deal Hunter Meowssi for posting this deal.

About this item:
  • Players must work together playing to their characters' strengths as they plan their strategy of eradicating the diseases before they overwhelm the world with ever-increasing outbreaks. A truly cooperative game where you win or lose together.
  • Only through teamwork will you keep the world safe from outbreaks and epidemics. Your team must work together and plan carefully to stem the tide of infection while working toward finding the cures.
  • Pandemic Legacy begins like the original Pandemic, but soon morphs into something more. Pandemic Legacy has a story arc that occurs over the course of a year. Each passing month brings new objectives, new challenges, and even new rules.
  • Actions have consequences from one game to the next as you strive to avert global disaster. Trigger certain events and you'll unlock tools that reveal strategies for dealing with each new problem. These developments have a direct impact on the game itself. There are many paths to follow.
  • It starts simply. A virus tougher than the rest. Nothing your team can't handle. But as January turns to February, things take a turn for the worse. This is no ordinary virus. The world is on the brink of collapse. The coming year will determine the fate of humanity. Gather your team and prepare for a campaign full of epic twists and evolving gameplay.
Includes:

  • Rulebook, 1 Game Board, 5 Character Cards, 4 Pawns, 4 Reference Cards (one per player color), 61 Player Cards (48 City, 5 Epidemic, 8 Event), 48 Infection Cards, 62 Legacy Cards, 4 Civilian Cards, 5 Dossiers, 1 Sticker Sheet, 4 Cure Markers, 1 Infection Rate Marker, 1 Outbreaks Marker, 1 Reminder Token, 96 Disease Cubes (24 in 4 colors), 1 Package Box with 8 Numbered Packages, 6 Research Stations

Such a fantastic game experience. If you've never played a Legacy game before, it's a completely different experience. Bust played with the same people again and again, so the entire game morphs and changes each time. At the end, you'll have a board that looks nothing like the board of any one else who've ever played it.

In case anyone is on the fence, this is the single greatest board gaming experience I've ever had (minus maybe season 0 but is not the one you should start with)

So, Pandemic was one of the few board games I could talk my wife in to since we weren't playing against each other, and rather both "against the game."

Any other suggestions for games like that?

I'd suggest Spirit Island

Depends on what kind of genre you like too.

There are a ton of cooperative board games on the market nowadays.
here's a list:

Theres Eldritch Horror or Gloomhaven Jaws of the lion is a campaign style cooperative game.

There is a Sherlock Holmes game that is good:

Forbidden Island and Forbidden Sky & Forbidden Desert are also good

I recommend Horizons of Spirit Island. It is a cheaper version of Spirit Island. If you like it get the bigger game and then possibly some of the expansions.

Jaws of the Lion is a smaller, easier to get into version of Gloomhaven and is very good.

Awesome game! We wanted to be able to replay it every couple of years so we used some small Avery labels and printed off our own character cards on paper so that we wouldn't actually damage any of the game. Worked great, still lots of fun.

I've wasted 700+ bucks on games that no one else will play with me. Oh well.

One of my favorite coops is Sky Team. For lighter coop word games, I really like codenames duet and that's so clover. For something heavier, Spirit Island is solid. A decent tile laying game is Beacon Patrol.

I'm in the same boat. Never liked Pandemic though. I think it's a pretty boring coop but have often wondered how a legacy version would make me feel.

Getting my friends over to play a board game once is an accomplishment.
