It's a good deal, but I don't recall ever seeing them sold at the actual list price.

Can anyone answer if this drive would be fast enough for network storage, directly connected to a Linksys Mesh Network Router?

Hold the line, Best Buy had 18TB WD drives during Black Friday / Cyber Monday last year for $200

20TB is more than enough for my needs. This would be great for a media server😀

If you are looking to build a NAS, often times we are limited by the NAS available drives, therefore the higher the capacity the better drives they are assuming everything is equal. There's a lack of space, also if you go with buying smaller capacity with the hope of buying larger drives later when prices come down, fuggedabouit! Except for crazy used prices during shortage, I never found selling used prices to be worth the extra work, I'd rather just buy the capacity I want/need to begin with

Till you put everything on one drive, and it fails... I run two 10tb (movies on one and TV shows on the other), then an 18tb as a master backup.

Almost certainly still shuckable. Drives inside have not been Red drives in years, they are white label non series drives, but functionally they are identical to Reds.
