Just saw this and seems like a solid deal for an external SSD.

It is a USB 3.2 drive and reviews look pretty good on it.

There is a 20% off sale on the page + a $14 coupon which brings the price down to $49.99

I think this is a great deal. I've purchased other Orico products and have had decent luck with them. I grabbed one for this price. Thanks OP!

I wouldn't put them as low as "temu quality". I own a NAS enclosure from them and haven't had any issues in several years..so it seems like YMMV depending on the product.

If that listed speed is correct, that's USB 2.0 speeds. USB 3.2 should be around 5 or 10 Gbps. A quick search on USB speeds comes up with this"

"What are the different USB speeds?
The Universal Serial Bus (USB) specification stipulates five data transfer rates:
USB 1.0/Low-Speed: 1.5 Megabits per second (Mbps)
USB 1.1/Full-Speed: 12 Mbps.
USB 2.0/Hi-Speed: 480 Mbps.
USB 3.0/SuperSpeed: 5 Gbps.
USB 3.1/SuperSpeed: 10 Gbps."

With that 480 Mbps repeated in the listing and some reviews stating this drive was way slower than other USB 3.0 drives they have seems to indicated the listed speed is correct. Which means it is not or should not be labeled as a USB 3.2 Gen 1 drive. That's unfortunate. Would be nice to get one this size at around this price.

It's probably just a SATA SSD inside.

No, unfortunately it's correct... the naming scheme is just bad.

They're claiming 460MByte/s, or 3680Mbit/s, which would be USB3 speed.
