I'm sorry people - but please don't ever think a potentially life saving product is something you should look for a deal on. I have patients who work at the US Federal Penitentiary here in town and there are two kinds of spray they use, one, the inmates don't care and keep fighting. When they see the other can, they run like hell. I'm sure it costs more than $2, but you want something like that. It's one of the Fox Labs products, but you probably want to check your local police supply shop and ask the guy behind the counter what he would have his daughter carry when alone at night (if she can't carry). Preferably something with staining fluorescent dye in it for later ID purposes.
I'm a LEO, and I can say that you're correct. These marketed sprays such as this are really meant for a common civilian encounter, but won't have a large effect. When a spray fails to identify the percentage of active ingredient (such as capsicum) then it's likely a low dose that would more irritate than incapacitate a person. When you're in a scenario that this is needed, you should want something that'll drop someone to their knees.

The spray we LEOs use is a high dosed cap capsicum, and I can promise you that it does incapacitate lol. I know from personal experience.

I recommend getting Sabre Red Crossfire. It's what we're issued and is highly effective for about $20.
Does not have a pocket clip. I would go with the Sabre just for the added clip feature. I like to jog at night with the spray clipped to my shorts.

Fox Labs used to be the Gold Standard. Instant stopping power. Then they had to remove a chemical, I think in 2018, that made it stick and now it is no longer effective.

Here is a video of someone getting sprayed with pepper spray. He says it is the one used in prisons but doesn't specify which one. Notice after 5 seconds he asks to be sprayed again and then it took another 10 seconds for him to really feel it.

Just don't clip it inside of your shorts in case it misfires.

I used to work in a private prison and some of those guys would walk through the spray we used like it wasn't ish literally. And we'd use the whole can and it wasn't any small canister something that looked like this POLICE MAGNUM Large Pepper Spray Home Defense Security- Safe Non Lethal Protection- Powerful 25ft Wide Fog Spray- Made in The USA - 1 Pistol Grip https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CL4HH47
And their rage would have them still attacking us. Now as a prison guard we all had to be sprayed our LT. sprayed the room and we almost died choking, So I can only imagine being sprayed in the face. And yes it was a closed environment (visitation area).

What other aggressive adjective do you think this product name is missing? I'm thinking "TACTICAL NUCLEAT DRAGON FORCE"!
