Thank you! Was looking for one in the past few days. This one fits the bill.
For those of you wondering, I went for the 2 rather than 2s. Apparently the 2s is smaller and only for iOS devices while the 2 is 45mm bigger and Android/iOS compatible. I could be wrong tho. Someone fact check me please.

I have had the regular black 2s for about a year and it has made my son jealous with the easy to use features and battery life. The camo printed ones hardly ever go on sale so this price is fantastic.

I have the 2S. It works fine with Android. The usable screen size is smaller than you might expect for the watch size and the E-ink display isn't as easy to read as a normal smartwatch. So I think going for the larger size is a good idea.
I have the Instinct 2 Solar (tbh the Solar aspect doesn't give it much more battery life, I even live in FL and on beach days it will give me like an extra 3-4% on a full blown sun). But on a regular period with no sun, I get a good 3 weeks battery life (no GPS running or Oxygen readings, everything else on, but it goes into sleep mode from 11pm to 6am - when I use GPS a 40min run can drain it an extra 15%). Really no complains on the watch, at first it took time to get used to the larger size but very happy with it. chose it mostly for the battery life. I can go on trips and not have to carry an extra charger.
really recommend it
Can't speak specifically to the T-rex (I had a different amazfit and now an instinct 2) but re: Garmin vs Amazfit... the difference is going to be in support, updates, reliability and accuracy with advantage to garmin in varying degrees. Also if you use a lot of different devices in combination (IE Bike computer , heart rate monitor, other various sensors) then Garmin is going to have way better integration and seemless compatibility, at least within their own "Ecosystem". Other than that this will blow the T-rex a way in terms of battery life (one of the main selling points of this watch).

I'd be interested to hear if it rubs off after a while.
