Yes, Microsoft Powertoys has an application called FancyZones that I use for this.

Question: Is it possible to split these typical-wide-monitors into multiple "displays" using Microsoft Windows on a single monitor?? I've always had multiple monitors just so I can "snap" windows, have multiple task bars, start buttons (i.e., one on each), etc. .. Appreciate some guidance on this.

1 display, often a struggle when sharing screen on teams you'll need to share the individual windows instead of whole string if everyone is used to 1080p monitors. There is likely software for this, but assuming you'll use this for productivity and work, so might want to consult your work IT to see if they would install that software; most likely they will not.

You can definitely snap natively in w10 and w11 adds more customization to this, and there is software for more customization

But IMO mediocre deal, agreed at this size a slight curve is better, VA panel and 100Hz isn't bad but could be 144Hz+ imo for better pc gaming

On my Dell 34" monitor I use Dell Display Manager. It has multiple layouts to choose from. I use one that splits it in half vertically. The left side is by itself and then the right side is split horizontally.

From a teams/zoom standpoint as others pointed out it's hard to share the entire screen with others. So i end up sharing individual applications.

I have a similar version of this, and the lack of curve on a 34" is honestly hard to use for productivity. I know some people don't like curved monitors, but this if a very large field of view for a flat monitor.

It's a matter of opinion. I don't mind a curve for an ultrawide monitor. It really depends on the curvature too. Some people find it difficult to read a spreadsheet if the curve is too sharp. You'll often see things like 1000R, 1500R, and 1800R on curved monitors. That's the curve radius. The lower the number the more pronounced the curve will be.
