Got the octave 2 and this octave 3. Like the 2 for air travels because of the additional belt on the back. The 3 is good for non travel daily

Got this bag a couple months ago and I'm loving it. Zippers are buttery smooth and adjusting the straps is super easy

Buttery smooth? Not mine. I also got this a couple of months ago and the zippers are like the the same as the original Octave which I've used for a few years until one of the zipper broke. I'm a fairly careful person, but handling those zippers with just one hand feels like it's gonna break it. The only reason why I didn't return it was the cheap price.

Having bought two of these and a couple of the cheaper Walmart Eastport backpacks, I like the Eastport backpacks better. Depends on the exact model though. They are just built a little better and often are larger or have more material in the right places.

I bought one of the Eastport backpacks a month ago on sale and took it on 3 weeks of international travel. It held up really well, and I had it stuffed as a carry-on on multiple flights. Was pleasantly surprised. Only thing that it was missing was the strap accross the back to run the suitcase handle through.

Had to go to Best Buy anyway today to pick up a new monitor, grabbed one of these while I was there, a bit bigger then the 14" laptop sleeve I've been using, but will come in handy when I want to pack up 14" laptop, iPad, headphones, steam deck, big ass power supply, etc. wanted the blue one, but they couldn't find any and just had a few black left on the shelf so I just got black. Thanks OP
