With a little EQ (from the app they provide), this is the best sounding speaker under $100 I've ever owned (and I've owned a lot of speakers over the years). For this price, it's a no-brainer in my book.

I agree with above. We have two of them, and you can connect the two together so you have the speakers in two different spots for a larger sound. We use them outdoors a lot. Battery time is good, and they sound great.

I should've done more research. I didn't know there was an app, it'll be a gamechanger.

This speaker is great even for the $100 I bought it at. For this price, it's a great deal.

I would also highly recommend the Earfun UBOOM L which is currently $55 on Amazon (2 for $100 with coupon). You must downgrade the firmware to 0.4.3 which has the properly tuned EQ. The weird name betrays the quality of the speaker, but you'll be hard pressed to find competition even at twice the price.

Have two of these to pair when at the beach and use as a single speaker at work. Sound amazing, battery life is great. I didn't even know there was an EQ app. I bought comparable earfun speakers to compare after seeing reviews go back and forth. I didn't enjoy their sound so returned those and kept these. You can only pair two though, FYI.

They're both great speakers and I own both. The Boom is the one you take to the beach or on a float trip. It's a little more base heavy and less definition on the midrange. The Motion+ is the one I keep in my office to easier listening and it seems to have a more balanced sound in general.

That reddit thread makes it sound like a nightmare to own, I'd rather pay the extra $12 not to have to deal with that
