We got a used one, at least in this style. The grass under gets ruined. We used an old rake handle to get the lid off and on. (Ours didn't have the lever).

I just spend $70 yesterday and made my own firepit on a tree stump that got wasted with the previous storm. You don't even need these caribbean white beach stones for aesthatics, same price if you got some land to work with.

Have one from Walmart from a few years back that is near identical to this but it has drainage holes at the bottom of the bowl. They're basically mandatory for this style unless you're going to cover it.

These are worth it at this price, but you're getting what you paid for, and a massive rip off at full price. Don't expect it to last more than a couple years unless you meticulously maintain and baby it.

we have a very similar one but its deeper. My wife hates it because its heavy to move for mowing etc. and the way the center bowl lifts out its also awkward to move. fun for smores with the kids though
