1522 easily. For an $80 difference you get: A extra bay, an extra 4Gb of Ram, and 2 additional 1GB ethernet ports that you can use for bonding. 1522 also has an extra expansion unit slot. Internally they are identical.

Sabrent 5-Bay is much cheaper and more functional when paired with ZFS. It's powered my home storage for years in a ZFS equivalent of RAID 10 + Hot spare.

awesome, thanks OP in for 1. I dont think I can wait for a 2025 possible update. I think this is better than the DS923+ for $440 I ordered yesterday and canceled

Now I need to figure out what drives to put in this for cameras, photos, ,media streaming (will use beelink for plex/transcoding if needed), and maybe some playing around with VMs

Damn bough the DS923+ from Newegg and arriving today. Thinking of returning it now and getting this. Dont have Prime though, may have to get a trial subscription to buy this. Hopefully another vendor price matches to avoid that.

Well that was fast. Page refreshed and seems dead.
