Don't expect these to last long, maybe 2+ years if lucky due to small, non-replaceable battery.

That being said, it still does its job. Recommend using silicone to stir/clean to keep in good shape.

We bought two of these two years ago. Stopped using them because it doesn't keep the coffee warm and charging was difficult. Plus it kept losing pairing with our phone. Simply not worth it. Much cheaper to buy heated mugs that sit on a plate.
So maybe it isn't my phone. Mine loses the Bluetooth connection too. I put coffee in it in the morning and then just about every time I open the App to check the temp I have to reconnect it to the phone's Bluetooth. It stays connected until I finish the coffee, but seems to lose the connection if it sits empty. I have the 16oz Tumbler. It keeps the coffee at 145F until I'm done, but I doubt I'll buy another when this one dies. Sucks that the battery isn't replaceable.

Thanks for the info, was hoping the premium for stainless steel would mean the bottom didn't flake like their other mugs. Bummer :/
Well..mine is just showing a little wear after over THOUSAND uses. Still useable.
If you use silicone spoons and just rinse it with hot water everyday it will last for over 1000 uses. Worth it to me.

I wish they had just a basic lid for these.
I picked up a cheap coffee mug on clearance at Walmart that had a lid and it fit my ember mug perfectly. I use it everyday. I think it was Ozark brand.

Silly that the lid is extra on a $100 mug.

I try to say this as often as I can in these deals.

You need to use a silicone spoon with these mugs. a metal spoon will destroy the coating over time. Get a multipack on Amazon for 10 bucks.

Have two of these that are maybe 3 years old. used pretty regularly and still looks perfect.

Clean with a silicone baby bottle brush with large bristles.

Got this as a gift from work and can honestly say I wouldn't buy it. I have a yeti rambler and a zojirushi and both of these no powered mugs keep my coffee hotter longer.

Wooden spoon works too, I bet.

I had this same connection problem on my Note 20, and I recall quite a few others having similar issues using Android phones a few years ago. From what I remember of my research at the time, this seemed to affect Android users much more than iPhone, but this was 2-3 years ago, so maybe things have changed.

App updated the in-store price to $99.99 already, so I went ahead and ordered one for shipping since it was still at $79.99. Thanks!

Just got the 14oz and have used it 2 days now. I'm not falling in love with it. It seems more like a gimmick gadget. I'm a slow drinker and found the heater to only work off the charging disc for less than 2hrs. Then, it seems to cook the coffee after a while and messes with the flavor. It's also exactly 14oz, and I mean to the very top. So my K-cup at 12 leaves barely room for cream, then a very slow walk not to spill it. I think I'll go back to my $10 warming plate and my larger coffee mug. The only scenario I can think of that makes this better is if I were a roam around the house, yard, etc. person with my coffee mug and wanted the contents to stay warm.
So the volume is very accurate?

Yep, and that's not a good thing for me. I made a bad assumption that the larger version would be like my coffee mug. Turns out, my large (not gigantic but more like "normal" size these days) is 16oz.

I had to look to see why a mug would be worth $80. I now understand what makes this different from other mugs. But I can say I have no temptation to buy one.
