You should be doing a fresh OS install anyways, and again this has been covered in other threads - it was some 3rd party supplier/distributor that was suspended.
VM clusters, you can have second NIC for VM kernel traffic between machines,
or you can make it a pfsense firewall, which would need ingress and egress, it is just simpler and better with two NICs

I see the reviews on Amazon about trojans, etc but are people not completely wiping the drives or maybe adding their own? If i threw in a new drive and install Linux would the issue still be there? Something in the firmware of these models?

I think the first choices are Beelink, Miniforums, and second choices are GMKtec, AOOSTAR
posted this bc i saw thata previous deal for this brand did well, and these seemed like great specs for the price. didnt realize they had all those other issues. unfortunate.
