Through the link I get the $1081. If I search it on my Amazon app under x3800h I get $1071. Think I'm gonna pass and wait for a x4800h. Wanted to pass on the tip for others

The 3800 is awesome. Have had one for over a year now running 7.3.4 speaker layout.
Don't spend the money on DIRAC.
Check out Audyssey One - Evo. It sounds incredible.

They'll make you do that with a TV too. It's crazy but I guess that Bazos has crunched the numbers and decided that most wont bother with the agg and they will make more money being evil and damaging the environment with all that shipping.

Amazon may have also promised UPS a minimum number of shipments per month. There's also the "impulse buy" factor when someone is forced to go to a physical location like Whole Foods or Kohls to do an Amazon return and may just pick up something from their partner/subsidiary on their way out!
