There's nothing "natural" about the cream.
It works as a skin protectant, but the petrolatum is the main active ingredient. Similar to using Vaseline.

I use CeraVe and always wanted to try Vanicream. Any difference between the two?

It's probably one of the best, if not, the best natural cream out there. I typically use this cream on my kids, highly recommended by their dermatologist, for their eczema.

We tried Vanicream once but found that it leaves a greasy feel, in case that's a deal breaker for you too.

We used both. CeraVe is good, but Vanicream is more moisturizing, especially good to use in dry winter time.

This one is a bit greasy, that's why I use it in winter and I use the light lotion one for summer.

I can't use cerave anymore. I used it for a few years but always had a slight sting if I used it after shaving. I switched to this about 2 years ago and have never had a bit of discomfort from it. I also feel like it moisurizes better, and I'm not sure why people are saying it's greasy, the only difference is you just need to rub this one in a little more.

"$10 Amazon credit when you spend $40" - so yes, you would need to purchase 3 in order to meet the $40 spend.

My son had very severe eczema all over when he was a toddler. The pharmacist actually said this is the brand name of the cream the dermatologist prescribed to make his compound treatment. So once we stopped the compound I just bought this over the counter.

While I completely agree it feels thick and greasy that is only for a few minutes. In my opinion its moisturizing is far superior to Cerave. We all use it before bed after showering and it works out fine. So you should decide which is more important, a few minutes to absorb or better moisturizer. Totally an individual preference/need.

My total for 3 creams is $34.53, and you can not add a 4th item, so no way to make it $40 plus if I am using S&S 😕

I use both cerave and vanicream. Vanicream is definitely thicker probably due to the petrolatum so it feels greasier. I use both after a shower, and with cerave I use Vaseline on top just to lock in the moisture. I don't have to do that with vanicream.

Thanks. Running low from the last deal, and winter's coming!

Hope the $10 credit really comes through!

I don't really like this stuff because it is petroleum based, but it does work for my partner's legs to stop all the flaking, and the doctor recommended this stuff. I like the containers as I can use a spatula to get every last bit out!!

I love this brand... I can't seem to find the ointment type anymore.
