I bought mine on Amazon for the Oct prime day yesterday and just received it today. This thing is awesome!

Edit: Forgot to mention this version as well as the PlayStation edition are the same price.

It does work with 16 on their website. Not sure if it included pro max

It should fit fine. The Pro Max is 149mm tall and the Backbone expands to fit max 177mm devices. I know mine almost fits my iPad mini.

I was looking at other brands like the abxylute with vibration but I loved my first backbone I got do $25 with $25 PS Credit that I went for it again.
