Yeah same here, I'm in NYC. Costco store is easily twice as large as BJs. But BJs is pretty good as a supermarket, they have most standard supermarket things in bulk sizes, whereas Costco mostly has specialty items.

The non grocery sections, Costco is vastly superior and cheaper. Each item is probably $1-2 cheaper than BJs.

I did the mistake of using this on my non expired account that was valid till June 2025. After applying the renewal my account renews in October 2025 now. So if you have many months left on your current account, the $20 renewal option might be better for you.
