I have both costco and BJs but go to BJs because it has less crowd, good parking and less crazy cheap desperate people... LOL...Costco is cheaper and has more stuff etc but the crowd is typical Walmart type.

Don;t flame me but this is the truth..

Interestingly I find the opposite in my area, Philly suburbs, that BJs is cheaper than Costco when it comes to named brand products. For quality however, Kirkland (Costco) is definitely inferior than Berkeley Jensen (BJs) particularly with toilet paper and paper towels.

name brand products? like which products? yes, I found a few of them are cheaper by 50 cents. but not worth it for a trip there. who would buy a Kirkland toilet paper? membermarks toilet paper is 10x better.

My membership expires 12/31/2024. The link added the option to Upgrade for $10. So not worth it.

I opted to renew an older expired account for $10. It is now valid till 10/31/2025.

Make sure to swap the correct EMAIL ID to the renewed BJs account. I used Gmail+ trick to manage the emails.

My cautionary tale: I signed up for a discounted BJ's membership last year using a privacy.com card, and this year they tried to renew on me, which the card declined - so instead they used a card I swiped at the store when I purchased some groceries, with no warning.

No, I meant shady on BJ's part. For charging that member a subscription renewal on a card that was swiped in-store for a purchase totally unrelated and unassigned to the subscription. It had nothing to do with privacy.com/virtual cards, which are totally fine to use.

The 1st thing one should do with Subscription service DEALS is to cancel Auto-renewal. And if that's not feasible… put a recurring Calendar alert on your phone a few days before renewal to cancel the service.
