Nothing like being a grown man standing in the toy aisle squeezing the minifig bags for 30 minutes to find the ones you want while dodging glances from confused moms and 8 year olds.

I'll take the scanner everyday.

Here's a scanner that'll tell you what's inside the individual packs without opening... https://jaysbrickblog.com/minifig-scanner/

Yes on the minifig scanner! Bow that they've changed to boxes, you can't feel out the figures. The scanners work great!

Actually, this led to a lot of great moments. I was really good at figuring them out, and so I'd be able to give those confused moms the figure their 8 year old actually wanted. There were a number of times I was not the only person, too. It was a nice way to talk to random folks about a common interest.

I felt less creepy but 3x more suspicious while scanning the boxes for 30 minutes looking for a mindflayer.

Yeah, same, strange spelling for Dragonkin Paladin, but that's okay. (I had to drive to 3 stores to find the Paladin, and got the full set minus Paladin at the first store)

Ordered these a day before this post for $20.99. Can confirm the scanner apps work and I did not get a duplicate in the box. I think there were a couple of reviews saying they got a few dupes in this box of 6.

I got three purple boxes from Amazon with LEGO code 66764 on it, but there's no QR code anywhere on the box like they show on the scanner page. Scanning UPC won't work either.
