Is this really a charger or is that on the vehicle? This puts out AC and does not rectify to DC?

like most of the other home units from Wallbox, Chargepoint, Tesla, etc, this is technically an EVSE . . . the actual "charger" is in the vehicle as you mentioned.

I have an the 40amp model of this charger purchased in November 2022 via a slick deal for $397. Previously I had a Juicebox charger that shorted itself out due to a loose connection. Juicebox is also closing up shop and shutting down their cloud servers so your wifi and stats will stop working soon. I highly recommend Autel - their app is easy to use, include OTA updates, and lets you dial in your spending. It charges my BMW i3, Volvo XC40 without issue and I get notifications when starting a charge and when it suspects the car is done charging. This is a great price and 10 more amps than I have. Also, check with your local electric provider as there may be rebates available when you combine purchase with professional installation.

I'm really not sure what the difference is between this and what they give you. The travel charger...the car can set the schedule, battery %, & notifications. DEAL IS DEAD TOO
