People who want the flexibility of playing competitive games at a smooth 1080p 480Hz (Counter-Strike/Valorant/Overwatch)…while also having the convenience of a high resolution 4K at 240Hz for productivity and immersive/high fidelity games (Cyberpunk/Baldurs Gate/Red Dead).

It's basically like owning two monitors in one. Best monitor I've ever owned.
it seems these companies are having some trouble moving units, or maybe they produced too many

good for us consumers. high end oled at $500 will be within reach in about a year i bet.
welp just pulled trigger with paypal 5%, a 15% HECA code, and a 25% capital one cashback... tbd if I actually get any/all of it...

It's amazing. No regrets. 144ppi gives such a clear crisp picture on top of the quality of oled and 4k resolution.
Is this a glossy screen?

Am I an old fart? I keep my monitors at 0-10 percent brightness... Do people actually need screens with greater than 300 nits?

No, I use similar brightness at night & a bit higher in daytime. So do my cousins, younger by a decade. Even lower brightness than me.

I was surprised by this too. I have the 27" 1440p version and its like 800 nits. This is pathetic
Literally impossible. All of the OLEDS are under 350ish nits in standard use

The LG 27" you have is like 250 nits

Who buys a monitor like this? I'm curious.
Seriously? There are subreddits of folks jerking over these OLED monitors.

As an owner of an OLED TV for years, I adore the tech. That being said, I doubt I would drop this much on a monitor ever, especially as it's a questionable choice compared to a cheaper ips that often performs better at productivity uses. But, hey, I am also the type that wouldn't buy a graphics card to push the pixels hard enough to tell the difference.

Good deal for those in this market.

what would you guys recommend as home office monitor? Brother is working from home and complaining about eyes hurting at the end of the day....he is using ASUS - TUF 23.8" IPS FHD 144Hz 1ms that is 4 years old. Any good curved monitors preferably in 24inch or 27inch screen size?
TIA

If I could get 39%, no brainer. 25%, not sure if it's worth pulling trigger. Will wait on Black Friday.

Edit: Just went to 30%. Hm…

That has nothing to do with that.
