This is an awesome chainsaw and great price. I have this along with the Dewalt 60V 18" and 20". It lasts much longer than the 60V versions and perfect for limbs and small cuts. I think it's on clearance because a newer version is being released.

Quick question to you folks, I'm NOT handy by any means. Looking to get this to to cut down some tree branches and maybe small trees. Other than eye protection how dangerous is this handling for the first time? What are some of the thing s I need to keep this in good condition? I see some type of oil needed for it.

Knives, hammer, cars and even large plastic bags are all dangerous and deadly if used the wrong way. This chainsaw is no different.

Bought one at similar deal. Used 4 or 5 times now no longer works. Replacement was an EGO which also came with 16 inch bar. Happy with the EGO.

Just the fact that you are asking is a good sign you will be safe.
Use eye protection. Use good quality gloves. Keep your feet and legs away from downward cuts. Avoid cutting anything above your head. Search chainsaw safety to learn a few basics. Then take your time. It is always good to keep a healthy fear of a running chainsaw.
Keeping the tank filled with chainsaw oil will lengthen the life of the chain.

Thank you so much OP I've been shopping around for this for a while. Almost pulled the trigger this week during the Amazon deals for the one with the battery or on another site as a refurb. Bottom line is this is way cheaper than anything I've seen. If somebody needs a battery every one small you can find a slightly better deal for about 120 bucks with the battery but that's very hard to find.

Can't find it in stock around Orlando, for anyone checking. Probably decently cleared out of most FL stores right now, post-storm.

Excellent chainsaw. Leaks oil, but most, if not all, do. Highly recommend.

I'm pretty impressed with my battery powered chainsaw. As the prior comment noted, mine also leaks bar oil.
