Heads up. There's two different versions of this reel, a high speed and lower speed gear ratio. Sierra doesn't lists it which one it is but I recieved the high speed gear ratio. Looking back on their website, there's two of them now with different product numbers but no details which one is which.

Good catch. If you add them to cart you can see the part code.

One is 5PXYC and the other is 5PXWG….however these part numbers seem to be internal part numbers and not generated by Penn. So this still doesn't help. If you want a specific one, I'd call and see if you can confirm gear ratio.

This one is the 5pxyc-01 model, I just bought it and their confirmation receipt says the model. I believe thie 5PXYC is the more premium upgraded version vs the standard 5PXWG one.

When I ordered earlier there was only one slammer on the website. Looking back on my order, it's was also a different internal product number than the current two. I'm guessing they must have realized there's two of them and changed it. Sometimes Sierra tends to have same product listed two times though so I don't know.

Not sure what you mean by "more premium upgraded version".

The 2500 comes in two gear ratio. 6.2:1 and 7.0:1.

The slammer lineup is already premium, sitting just below their Authority lineup.
