As you stated many sony fans used to mock pcs not getting their games and now look.
Console gamers of this era care only about their sports games, fortnite and call of duty.
Microsoft seen this and pivoted to the Subscription direction because they know Software doesn't move the same like before. Only nintendo is the company where they have large movement of software with very decent budgets and now currently they have been just riding the remake and remaster train themselves.

I guess I'm still kinda salty that 4k 120hz is listed on the PS5 box. The PS5 can barely run its own games, man.
