Thanks, but no more "plans". Affinity and Afrershot work for me
Something something Lightroom killer.. didn't I hear that a million times before.

I am somewhat a hobbyist and am looking for a real LR alternative for like forever. Nope, none works the same way LR does if you happen to take about few hundred pictures every time (which isn't all that much, if you use burst mode at all).

That's is because Lightroom is not just a photo editor, it is, first and foremost, a catalog, all tools and effecti within LR is nondestructive, every change is made in a "mask" saved in a database and your origin picture isn't impacted. You don't suddenly have multiple versions of the same pictures to manage. it manages all your photos, import and categorize them.

What most of the so called Lightroom killer, is actually doing Photoshop things, and they maybe pretty good at those, but Photoshop is not a Lightroom replacement, and neither is any of those product.
Or if truly cheap, just go open source.

Work the sale a bit harder by signing up for any online community college class, now you are a student and can buy CC $20/yr~, then be a lazy student and drop class.
How are you seeing $20/yr? I'm seeing $20/month for a student..

cc normal (cheap) plans do not include acrobat pro. you need to sign up with the most expensive plan of "all apps" that's only $420/yr with a student and teacher package.

The Creative Cloud All Apps plan costs $59.99 per month. Students and teachers can also get a plan that includes Acrobat Pro and other apps for $239.88 per year the first year, and $419.88 per year after that.

best I've seen with CC is $80/yr. I looked at your link...you need to go back to school for reading comprehension....it's $20/mo....not a year.

Exactly. From what I read even photoshop element has a 3 year time bomb that stops working. Crazy if true.
