Number pads are generally not going to be on gaming keyboards. Takes mouse space that some people might use!

How do we know if this is the original version that the keys won't be rubbed off?

To be honest, I thought this way too for the longest time, and I finally bit the bullet and bought a nice separate mechanical numpad. It seems like most nicer keyboards don't include one (probably because they're focused on typing or playing shooters and not data entry), and I was tired of having to hunt for full sized keyboards. I'm loving it now though. I can move my numpad to the other side when I'm playing more complicated or simulation games and use it as an easy additional control pad, and that gives me some extra mouse space too, which I've actually appreciated more than I thought I would. It's not even about potential extra movement for me - it's about where I can rest my hands.
