I feel like the price of NVMe SSDs are falling and 2.5 inch SATA SSDs are rising. The two are getting closer and closer to the same price. I'm going to wait till 4tb 2.5 SATA SSDs drop in price. I would maybe pull the trigger on this SSD if it was below $200. You can get Teamgroup or Silicon Power for less than $200. I bought 2 Teamgroup Vulcan Z last year for $167 each and now they are floating around $200. Teamgroup SSDs have been great. No issues. Should have purchased 4 last year! 😭

The endurance of 600 TBW (terabytes written) doesn't really look impressive. For comparison, A 4TB WD Red SSD has a 2500 TBW at $309 price point.

Odd that they can say NVME 4.0 costs more than 3.0 because faster, NVME 5.0 costs even more because it's even faster. But SATA III.... why isnt this like $100?

600TBW? Dismal. Thanks for sharing. I came here to post the same info. Certainly not suitable for frequent backups.

3 year warranty. So for daily backups, at 560GB/day you'd hit the warrantied write limit within the warranty period. A bit shocking (for the price), considering that 2TB NVMe drives selling for ~$130 have 1,200TBW endurance (and 5 year warranties). Wow.

I guess this will fit someone's needs, or use case.

SanDisk are not in the quality market segment. Always low price, so what do you expect.

I would figure prices for these kinds of SSD would of dropped under 200 a few years ago.

Those consume less power compared to nvme so they're good buy for NAS HDD upgrade. The power saving and noise reduction from both raid writing and higher fan speed make the upgrade worrhful.
