Well at least I'm not the only one that noticed...Guess it's time to see if there is anything better, its gonna be hard because Q-tip is what I measured other brands up to.
.
EDIT: I just did a quick internet search... "They have implemented "skimpflation" in the Q-tip brand. I guess "Q" in Q-tip don't stand for quality anymore".

IDK...the last box (3 pack during covid) I got they seemed flimsier, like cheap ones. Which is the whole reason why I buy the name brand, because I don't like the cheap flimsy ones.

500 count Up and Up (Target's private label) brand is $2.19 regular price. Never had an issue with those

FYI... Target is selling Q-tip 750 count for $4.58. Says with Target Circle, which just an account IIRC. In app clips the 15% off automatically for me.

In fact the 300 is 2.19 and the 750 count is 3.19 and they're rated 5-stars by thousands of users.
Good recommendation!

My wife and I noticed the exact same thing! I thought I was going crazy. The Walmart Equate brand we have found to be better than the current Q Tip ones

The company that made Qtips (Unilever) just spun off the brand to another company.

In the process of doing so they cheapened the product lines they were getting rid of right before the sell off. Included Qtips, Caress and Suave. I've noticed Caress bars are not the same quality they once were either. I think they deliberately did it

My local grocery store (Giant Eagle) sells their own brand of q-tips for the exact same price as these 500 and 750 packs on Amazon. The Giant Eagle brand are significantly better quality than q-tip... I'm sure other grocery stores probably use the same third party manufacturer and the only thing I can say is they are made in the USA. I've looked at other generic q-tips at Target and I think they were made in Mexico or China and the heads didn't seem as much cotton.
