I went to BB to actually hold an MSI laptop and boy, it was one of the lowest quality laptops I've ever touched. Bad keyboard, everything is plastic, and the screen was washed out of deep colors.

Even on discount i wouldn't buy one of these. Their components were always good for desktop building in the past but these laptops are truly bottom budget/ you get what you pay for

Is that right? 45W max output on the GPU? I was all in on this until I saw that.
(It's looks like the 45W has about 20% lower FPS than the standard 115W laptop GPU).

Agreed. This is no deal on a 45w 4060.

Yep. The wattages they give for the 4xxx GPUs in laptops generally is base + 15w boost. So likely this is a 30w GPU that can boost up to 45w (which is still ridiculously low for any sort of AAA gaming). The duration it can boost is completely up to the thermal design and BIOS of the laptop, so it's kind of a crapshoot.
