How's this a deal? It's only .8 ounces, which isn't a deal, price per ounce. There's better deals per ounce - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BTTCFLZ8. This is not bad if you're traveling though.

What is this? Toothpaste for ants?

edit:
I'd like to apologize in advance for making a joke that may or may not be funny.

Dentinal hypersensitivity is thought to occur when stimuli (like a brush against teeth or osmotic forces from things like sugar or salt) cause the movement of fluid in the tubules of teeth that then stimulates the nerve. The initial therapy is to brush a few months with a sensitivity toothpaste that has a compound to occlude the tubules and stop the transmission. That's all well and good.

Whitening toothpastes contain abrasives (generally silica but could be things like baking soda or charcoal) that are three times more abrasive on average than conventional pastes. They polish away stains by removing some of the tooth. One of the consequences of thinner enamel is more exposed tubules and more dentinal hypersensitivity. For that reason, a whitening sensitivity toothpaste seems antithetical to the goal of a sensitivity toothpaste. It does say "gentle whitening", but it still has to be more abrasive than average to get an above average whitening result.

It's not just for sensitivity purposes; whitening toothpaste, in general, is not good for teeth. It's like using sandpaper on wood furniture.

You are right. This is worse than regular price when converted to normal size sold at Target!
