Bought this same deal a couple weeks ago. My unit had some minor scuffs on the outside but engine looked to be in good shape. Spark plug was brand new. Did not have an oil in it but gas container did smell faintly of gas.
Couple things that tripped me up getting it set up:
The propane regulator/hose assembly has an integrated power cable that must be plugged into the generator for the propane to work. It powers the pressure regulator.
There's a quick disconnect on the battery negative cable, mine was disconnected for shipping, its inside the main side panel you take off to put oil into the engine. (Didn't find this mentioned in the instruction manual)
Also it does not come with the battery trickle charger but if you have a battery tender you can buy a set of SAE to DC adapter cables on Amazon for ~$12 that will adapter the quick disconnect on the tender to the plug on the generator.

Get the firman. They have amazing customer service. I was a direct hit from Milton. Had a 3650 inverter that had been running, no lie, 3 days straight. I'm filling it with fuel, it stops running and I can't restart it. It's saturday night. I call the support line. SOMEONE ANSWERS. The guy was super friendly, walked me thru a reset procedure, walked me thru checking the carb float, cleaning the carb, etc.
turns out the fuel I had gotten from a friend wasn't gasoline, was e85 or something, and the genny just wouldn't run on it. So once I figured that out, I put everything back together and it fired right up, again.
If they make a larger inverter genny, I'll probably buy one. Just a great company.

Thanks. Been waiting on the coupon codes again. Priced a little higher than last deal, but still worth it at this price.

I am so tempted. I missed the Genmax 7500 Sam club deal, waiting for restock.
going 50amp allows me Hot water heater to run.
But this Firman is 1/3 the cost. lighter, less fuel, in stock but no 240v :|

maybe I get this now to have something then get bigger one later. hate flying blind through hurricane season.

I have one of these I bought last time there was a sale. I got this one because it's dual fuel and had more running watts.

I'm not able to apply the coupon to the order, am I missing something? It keeps saying "You already applied this code to an order." But this coupon came out literally today, unless it uses the same eligibility as FALL20OFF.

edit: messaged support, seems to be a problem on their end. they told me to use Guest checkout and it works just fine.

My understand is: if I use natural gas directly without any modification, it only out put around 1800W instead of 2400W. Right?

Should be good for 3000 running watts and 3750 starting on LPG.

Running Watts 3200(Gas) 3000 (LPG)
Starting Watts 4000 (Gas) 3750 (LPG)

It take propane but not natural gas, and the wattage is lower but those numbers aren't right.

Those of you affected by recent storms needing it for power: mine shipped from NC, ordered on Tuesday and arrived on Saturday after Helene, only delayed one day by the storm. Surprisingly fast.

You may already know this, but just because that Genmax has a 50 amp plug does not mean it's putting out 50 amps. Its amperage is limited to the power it can produce. That units running wattage is 6000/5500 gas/lpg which means it's only putting out 25/22.9 amps (amps = wattage/volts) at the maximum wattage rating. You usually don't want to run it that close to maximum anyway. I almost ordered that one before I took a closer look at the numbers and I'd be running it too hard. I'm looking at the WEN DF875iX which is 8750/7000 peak/running on gas and 7800/6300 peak/running on lpg. It's $1,050 directly from WEN with free shipping and that's cheaper than Amazon's price has ever been according to Camelx3. I was also looking at the Champion 201176 but it's hard to find now. Its lowest recent price I've seen was $1,119 before all the hurricanes… but is currently Islay regular price of $1,399.
*Edit: I know the Genmax is closed frame and the two I noted are open frame, but they are both inverters. Hard to get that high of a power rating without going up closer to $2k…

Mine came with the charger, but I got it on the earlier deal from a couple months ago, so idk if it's because different deal, or just differences in the particular refurb units.
