Bought this same deal a couple weeks ago. My unit had some minor scuffs on the outside but engine looked to be in good shape. Spark plug was brand new. Did not have an oil in it but gas container did smell faintly of gas.
Couple things that tripped me up getting it set up:
The propane regulator/hose assembly has an integrated power cable that must be plugged into the generator for the propane to work. It powers the pressure regulator.
There's a quick disconnect on the battery negative cable, mine was disconnected for shipping, its inside the main side panel you take off to put oil into the engine. (Didn't find this mentioned in the instruction manual)
Also it does not come with the battery trickle charger but if you have a battery tender you can buy a set of SAE to DC adapter cables on Amazon for ~$12 that will adapter the quick disconnect on the tender to the plug on the generator.

Get the firman. They have amazing customer service. I was a direct hit from Milton. Had a 3650 inverter that had been running, no lie, 3 days straight. I'm filling it with fuel, it stops running and I can't restart it. It's saturday night. I call the support line. SOMEONE ANSWERS. The guy was super friendly, walked me thru a reset procedure, walked me thru checking the carb float, cleaning the carb, etc.
turns out the fuel I had gotten from a friend wasn't gasoline, was e85 or something, and the genny just wouldn't run on it. So once I figured that out, I put everything back together and it fired right up, again.
If they make a larger inverter genny, I'll probably buy one. Just a great company.

Yes, no GCFI on this project generator and if you blow the breaker, you have to power the whole thing off and on again to reset it

Would this run all the 110 in a small house? Patching in through dryer plug method.

I know this can run on propane, but can it be adapted to run on Natural Gas (methane)?

Do some googling but yes I believe I read some people had success running on natural gas without any modifications to the carburetor. You will have less power output though as the energy density of NG is lower.

Yes, without a battery, you can't start on propane since the actuator won't be powered. you can start it on gasoline and then flip it to propane as it will then have enough power for the actuator, but it takes hours to charge a dead battery and easier just to order a replacement from Firman, which is what we did when we got ours. And if you decide to try and start it on gasoline, then you have contaminated the carburetor you'll have to clean that out if you want to be propane only. We use this one to run our house at night as it's much quieter and we are only running the fridge, freezer, lights, and a very small window AC unit. During the day we flip on the big champion. But it's noisier and we try and keep disruptions to a minimum when we have these constant power outages in Houston.

Bought this at the beginning of the year and just used it on and off for almost 4 days after Hurricane Milton. Installed an interlock and was able to run my fridge, lights, a window AC, etc. on propane. For a generator, it's not that loud and compact to store when I'm not using it. Definitely recommend at this price.

It take propane but not natural gas, and the wattage is lower but those numbers aren't right.
I see the youtube modification to run on Natural gas. I can live with little lower wattage if it work right out of the box without modification.

Word of caution, I purchased this the last time it was on here and it was totally DOA (some electrical issue) that Firman has still not resolved. If you search on YouTube you'll see a number of videos detailing the generator being totally dead and it being some sort of electronics issue. On mine the fuel switch was fine (which is a common issue), which I was hoping was the case because it is an easy fix.

I need something lightweight and portable to use to power a small dorm-style fridge on occassion.

Do I need this, or would a smaller power bank suffice?

For those interested, there is another similar one for slightly cheaper. ($302 + tax). Less Running watts and no CO sensor. It is an older model, but otherwise comparable. https://www.ebay.com/itm/31396556...media=COPY

Power bank cost a lot more for the same wattage. If you just run the fridge for couple of hours then power bank should be enough. Expect to pay close to $1K for just that.

So it just has lower watts and no CO monitoring? Smaller too? Thinking of using this as a backup to 2 power walls on solar.
