Bought this same deal a couple weeks ago. My unit had some minor scuffs on the outside but engine looked to be in good shape. Spark plug was brand new. Did not have an oil in it but gas container did smell faintly of gas.
Couple things that tripped me up getting it set up:
The propane regulator/hose assembly has an integrated power cable that must be plugged into the generator for the propane to work. It powers the pressure regulator.
There's a quick disconnect on the battery negative cable, mine was disconnected for shipping, its inside the main side panel you take off to put oil into the engine. (Didn't find this mentioned in the instruction manual)
Also it does not come with the battery trickle charger but if you have a battery tender you can buy a set of SAE to DC adapter cables on Amazon for ~$12 that will adapter the quick disconnect on the tender to the plug on the generator.

Get the firman. They have amazing customer service. I was a direct hit from Milton. Had a 3650 inverter that had been running, no lie, 3 days straight. I'm filling it with fuel, it stops running and I can't restart it. It's saturday night. I call the support line. SOMEONE ANSWERS. The guy was super friendly, walked me thru a reset procedure, walked me thru checking the carb float, cleaning the carb, etc.
turns out the fuel I had gotten from a friend wasn't gasoline, was e85 or something, and the genny just wouldn't run on it. So once I figured that out, I put everything back together and it fired right up, again.
If they make a larger inverter genny, I'll probably buy one. Just a great company.

So it just has lower watts and no CO monitoring? Smaller too? Thinking of using this as a backup to 2 power walls on solar.
Correct. I don't believe it can parallel either. It is actually identical Decibels, size, weight, dimensions. It is just the previous model. Still has duel fuel and electric start. Compare the versions on the Firman website. If that is all you are using it for, you should be completely solid. I ended up getting the version in this thread because for about $40 more, I thought it was good peace of mind to have the CO sensor and the newer version with some additional starting and running watts.

For those interested, there is another similar one for slightly cheaper. ($302 + tax). Less Running watts and no CO sensor. It is an older model, but otherwise comparable. https://www.ebay.com/itm/31396556...media=COPY

One of these help keep a fridge and freezer running after a recent hurricane. It ran well for the two days I needed it -- running it almost constantly on propane. A 20 pound tank of propane lasted about 15 hours (that's an estimate because I never ran the propane out completely).

Been considering getting this every time i see it pop up. Will this power up an RV AC on a 30 amp connection?

Word of caution, I purchased this the last time it was on here and it was totally DOA (some electrical issue) that Firman has still not resolved. If you search on YouTube you'll see a number of videos detailing the generator being totally dead and it being some sort of electronics issue. On mine the fuel switch was fine (which is a common issue), which I was hoping was the case because it is an easy fix.
Did you forget to connect the battery contacts behind the panel? They don't come connected from FIRMIN you have to connect the battery and add oil before your first run.

These don't come with chargers for the battery so I bought one of these and use my normal 12v trickle charger on it. Works perfect:

also I use this dip stick with a magnet on it to catch the metal shavings in the oil:

I ended up buying the deal in this thread since the weight is the same 90 lbs. Thanks for the clarification.

I'll strictly run this on propane

For those who have this what size and type of battery does this include?
12 v 5.5 amp hour maintenance free battery. About the size of one used in smaller ups units. Maybe 4 by 4 by 2

Yes, 15000 btu on mine, no problem. I even fired up the microwave at the same time and it barely grumbled. Great for an RV.

And I can run a freezer, refrigerator, and small 5k window AC as long as I start them sequentially. As well as night lights. This is on gas, haven't tried it on propane yet since haven't had a blackout recently

No gfci on the 20amp it looks like. That's what I need but wonder if anyone can confirm.
I might be dumb but couldn't you just use something like this [amazon.com] if you wanted to add GFCI to that 20A outlet?
