There was a leak about Pokemon details from the game developer, Game Freak.
There was pokemon sprites and pokemon folklore which are based on Japanese folklore. The folklore were probably originally scrapped, but one was about a Pokemon who transformed into a human woman, was injured, but a human man took care of her, got into a relationship and she had twins. Another was a pokemon luring a girl and impregnating her.
To be fair pokedex entries from earlier games had stories of pokemon/human relationships and even eating pokemon.

I mean, I believe in their universe all the animals are Pokemon, right? So if they don't eat Pokemon than they would have to be vegetarian, and that's pretty disgusting, right?

Sub-$3 is extremely cheap for crown zenith, otherwise you're looking at just under $4 if you grab a booster bundle.

Cheaper sets to be had elsewhere if you get a booster box of one of the lesser sets, but CZ has more sought after cards as a whole, and the Galarian gallery is fun to collect.

What is specific about CZ that makes it more valuable? Some of the cards are already out of standard rotation, and the rest are gonna be gone next cycle whenever that is. I didn't start until S+V so I've just been mostly avoiding anything sword and shield for my collecting (can't use my poor Unown Vmax I pulled Frown )

It's a special set, so packs retail for $5+. Less than $3 a pack is a good deal.

CZ has generous pull rates of amazing art for pokemon that are fan favorites. It is also the final SWSH set, AND the final yellow border Pokemon card set.

Some calculation on the part of the fluctuation in value has to do with competition and meta viability affecting supply though, right? Like one of the reasons Raikou V had a demand spike was because it was used in Miraidon ex, so once these rotate out wouldn't the prices drop if they are no longer being needed for competitive? Or do they just hold their value regardless?
