Anyone who's interested, just be aware that the $100 soundbar doesn't support HDMI Arc input. So no CEC, and no volume control with your TV's remote. You have to use the remote that came with the soundbar or use a programable remote and program the volume keys for Bose.
How about the Bose Soundbar 550 Home Theater?
Can we use the TV remote (Samsung) to control the volume on the soundbar?
Thanks!
Yes. But make sure to use a HDMI cable to connect it to the HDMI port on your TV that's also marked ARC or eARC, and enable CEC function on your TV for it to work properly.

My 550 arrived today and looks brand new. Just an Apple TV in the bedroom and a ~3 year old Sony 65" from Costco. Plugged the Bose into the ARC hdmi port and it's working flawlessly, tv automatically disabled internal speakers and much improved audio quality.
Same here. Appears brand new. Sealed box. Not a mark on it.

Same here…just got mine in today too. Looks brand spankin' new and sounds great! Much improvement over the stock Samsung TV speakers….I'm impressed! 👍
Hard pass on seller and third party refurbished products. I only trust manufacturing refurbished products.
Guess you didn't read it too well....

I've read that some people have programmed URC or Logitech home theater remotes with the Bose programming and then the Apple TV could learn off that.
Sounds like a lot of work personally. For now I suffer with multiple remotes on the TV with this sound bar. It has good sound though.
There's a Bose subwoofer you can add, but I don't think it works on this particular sound bar unfortunately.
