Just a FYI: Crunchyroll is subject to licensing woes like any other streaming platform which means some series/seasons won't be available on that platform until much later if at all. If you're not an avid anime watcher, this may man nothing to you.

If you already have a Netflix subscription, you'd be surprised how many anime shows are available by just using a VPN to switch to another region.
Stick your request into chatgpt and it'll spit out suggestions if you got data like that.

Based on your favorites, here are some anime recommendations that might resonate with you:
Psychological/Thriller Anime

Steins;Gate
A gripping sci-fi thriller about time travel, filled with suspense and complex characters.
Monster
A psychological thriller that follows a doctor as he hunts down a former patient who has turned into a serial killer.
Paranoia Agent
An intriguing series that explores the psychological impact of societal pressures through interconnected stories.
Action/Adventure with a Twist

Code Geass
A blend of mecha, strategy, and moral dilemmas, following a high school student who gains the power to command anyone to do as he wishes.
Danganronpa: The Animation
Based on the video game series, it features a mix of murder mystery and psychological battles among high school students.
Supernatural/Action

Akame ga Kill!
A dark fantasy series with strong themes of rebellion and justice, featuring a group of assassins fighting against a corrupt empire.
Tokyo Ghoul
This series delves into the life of a college student who becomes a half-ghoul, struggling to fit into a world where he must hide his true nature.
Comedy/Action with a Family Element

Kaguya-sama: Love Is War
A hilarious romantic comedy about two student council members who engage in a battle of wits to get the other to confess their love.
Mob Psycho 100
A unique blend of action and comedy focusing on a young psychic trying to navigate life and his powers while dealing with quirky characters.
Supernatural/Drama

The Promised Neverland
A suspenseful tale about orphans who discover a dark secret about their home and plot to escape, filled with twists and psychological tension.
Sci-Fi/Fantasy

Re
- Starting Life in Another World
A gripping story with time loops and dark fantasy elements as the protagonist faces life-and-death challenges.
These series should offer a good mix of psychological tension, action, and engaging storytelling, keeping you entertained without the burnout from Dragon Ball. Enjoy!

Crunchyroll is the best streaming service I own. Billions of shows and everything I've watched is awesome. I was into anime when I was a kid, and now 20 years later I am back into it like I didn't miss a beat. I forgot how amazing the stories, animation, and voice acting can be on this stuff. Some of it is so much better than a lot of the garbage Netflix puts out.

You can get a year for like $12 or something by signing up using a VPN (or you can buy from one of the game code sites and they'll give you a account and you can change all the info if you didn't want to use VPN to do it yourself)

Please give me recommendations based on some of my favorites: Psycho-pass, Spy x Family, Parasyte, Death Note, Pantheon. I like Dragonball, but I'm burnt out on it so not really looking for that.

Existing account (that has no active sub on it) doesn't seem to be eligible.

You will need to create a new account, preferably with an email you have not used to create one with, and use that to enjoy trial.

really? you're going to reccomend soul twisting body horror right off the bat? I like that. But seriously JJK is not a great first anime intro pick. I tried to suggest it to a friend and they were so freaked out by the first epissode they thought I was psycho. I mean, they're not wrong, but, objectively speaking, JJK, great anime, not a great new to anime pick.

I used to think that, too, but for different reasons. For me it's because the power system is so convoluted, requiring specific parameters and voiceovers to explain certain moves. It's really nerdy, which I don't mind, but I thought it might be a bit much for people new to the genre. But, apparently I'm wrong, because I've seen so many people get into JJK, people who are not typical anime fans, and get really hyped. So, either people are nerdier than I give them credit for, or compelling characters and fantastic animation are enough to compensate for a technically dense, and sometimes seemingly made up as we go, power scheme.

Other than the board/video game like power rules, it's not that weird, though, at least not for a supernatural fantasy. The kind of person who's freaked out be the first episode is the kind of person who thinks mayonnaise is spicy.
