Just a FYI: Crunchyroll is subject to licensing woes like any other streaming platform which means some series/seasons won't be available on that platform until much later if at all. If you're not an avid anime watcher, this may man nothing to you.

If you already have a Netflix subscription, you'd be surprised how many anime shows are available by just using a VPN to switch to another region.

Stick your request into chatgpt and it'll spit out suggestions if you got data like that.

Based on your favorites, here are some anime recommendations that might resonate with you:
Psychological/Thriller Anime

Steins;Gate
A gripping sci-fi thriller about time travel, filled with suspense and complex characters.
Monster
A psychological thriller that follows a doctor as he hunts down a former patient who has turned into a serial killer.
Paranoia Agent
An intriguing series that explores the psychological impact of societal pressures through interconnected stories.
Action/Adventure with a Twist

Code Geass
A blend of mecha, strategy, and moral dilemmas, following a high school student who gains the power to command anyone to do as he wishes.
Danganronpa: The Animation
Based on the video game series, it features a mix of murder mystery and psychological battles among high school students.
Supernatural/Action

Akame ga Kill!
A dark fantasy series with strong themes of rebellion and justice, featuring a group of assassins fighting against a corrupt empire.
Tokyo Ghoul
This series delves into the life of a college student who becomes a half-ghoul, struggling to fit into a world where he must hide his true nature.
Comedy/Action with a Family Element

Kaguya-sama: Love Is War
A hilarious romantic comedy about two student council members who engage in a battle of wits to get the other to confess their love.
Mob Psycho 100
A unique blend of action and comedy focusing on a young psychic trying to navigate life and his powers while dealing with quirky characters.
Supernatural/Drama

The Promised Neverland
A suspenseful tale about orphans who discover a dark secret about their home and plot to escape, filled with twists and psychological tension.
Sci-Fi/Fantasy

Re
- Starting Life in Another World
A gripping story with time loops and dark fantasy elements as the protagonist faces life-and-death challenges.
These series should offer a good mix of psychological tension, action, and engaging storytelling, keeping you entertained without the burnout from Dragon Ball. Enjoy!

Please give me recommendations based on some of my favorites: Psycho-pass, Spy x Family, Parasyte, Death Note, Pantheon. I like Dragonball, but I'm burnt out on it so not really looking for that.

I haven't tried HiDive yet, but i bet its subscription
HiDive is cheap but there's a reason it's cheap. There's not a whole lot of content and its interface was designed by morons.

I have been trying to find some cartoons my 8 and 10 year old kids can watch on Saturday morning before I wake up. Thanks.
Get a Blu-ray player, go to your local library, borrow shows that you liked as a kid.
Things that come to my mind:
X-Men cartoon
Recess
Darkwing duck
Batman beyond (maybe a little dark?)
Gargoyles (also maybe dark?)

You can get a year for like $12 or something by signing up using a VPN (or you can buy from one of the game code sites and they'll give you a account and you can change all the info if you didn't want to use VPN to do it yourself)
I have VPN but India won't take my credit cards

The woke translations and dubs are growing tiresome. I feel like Crunchyroll is corrupting the art form.

Try making a new account and use a travel card.

They wouldn't take any of my cards, but then I realized they can probably figure out I created my 1st account in the US and paid with a US card originally.

Anyways created a new account, paid with my Chase Sapphire Reserve (using country as India in payment form, but entering home address and zip), and got 1 year for $12. Been using it for a few weeks now. I think it's important to use a good travel card like the CSR/Amex/ Venture X because your bank might auto deny an international charge from India.

I'm also doing this for YouTube Premium and Netflix Big Grin Big Grin

Although I think for the other two you need a mobile phone number to confirm country.

Yea it's annoying how it defaults to the dub. I don't think the subs are that bad though, but honestly the free pirate sites were better. RIP.

Okay, I'll give it a shot until at least ep 20! I loved AoT and FMA, and also really enjoyed Death Note and Parasyte, and although JJK is very different, I still thought it could be up my alley. It's funny how some animes just don't quite click with some people, goes to show you that even the ones labeled "mainstream, universal appeal" sometimes just doesn't apply.
That's definitely a huge draw of anime, there are so many different types of genres that most people can find something for them if they look around.
I like those same anime and I also just couldn't get into JJK. I watched all of season 1...and then the movie hoping it would finally pull me in...but it didn't. It's a better Chainsaw Man is about the best thing I can say about it besides the animation.

Personally, for what I like, I don't think anime delivered much between Vinland (2019) and Frieren (2023) as far as new shows go that really hit hard or even become all that memorable.

I haven't started watching this season...but I did just look over the entire slate and there's only 2 shows that really interests me and that's Dandadan [Crunchyroll] and Chi.: Chikyuu no Undou ni Tsuite (Orb: On the Movements of the Earth) [Netflix].
