This is the worst dishwasher I have ever owned. Even with dryboost, dishes are wet
I gave up on trying to dry dishes. Once it's done, I crack the door open and turn on the kitchen fan and they dry off that way.

Your video agrees. General rule I've noticed...if they make a TV then don't buy the kitchen appliance. LG and Samsung come to mind.
Agreed.
Got a Kitchen Aid in main house that's been solid for 6 years. A Fisher Paykel that's about that old in our beach house. Both work great.
I'm ok with LG laundry appliances but nothing good to say about Samsung and LG kitchen appliances. They suck as a rule.

It's almost never true. Price does not mean quality.
I have to agree with this. Just the other night I hired a horizontal reproductive technician at a rate of $1,000 an hour, and she sucked.

Yes. Thank the Department of Energy. They are able to unilaterally decide how much water and electricity an appliance is allowed to use with the stroke of a pen. Hopefully the overturning of Chevron Deference gets rid of this type of practice.
Unfortunately, though Chevron was overturned, the existing rules/edicts were grandfathered in. MAGA!

Our air will be unbreathable and our water will be undrinkable, but by god will the dishes be dry

Any negative feedback you can provide on the Maytag unit?
Not so far. It's been working well but it's only been like 3 or 4 months. Seems to clean and dry well. I use it about 2x/week. I don't prerinse and it seems good about getting off stuck food in "auto" mode. That's the other thing I forgot to mention, Costco doubles the warranty to 2 years. The install was seamless. No hidden fees. The unit was actually delivered to the install company, they called, setup appt, were in and out in about an hour and hauled away the old one. Was about 1 week from time of order to install. It has a built in grinder too which is nice.

I use pods and a jetdry additive fwiw. Also worth noting the tub is stainless steel but the inside of the front door is plastic. 2 racks, not 3. My previous had a 3rd rack but I found i prefer 2 racks so I can fit larger items on the second rack.

If you do order keep checking the site for 30d to see if price drops. Mine dropped $100. Filled out the form online and got a credit on my card a few days later. https://customerservice.costco.co...com-orders

1. Plastic interior. So expect micro plastics + earlier failure/leaks.

2. Gotta have a heating element at the bottom if you want Dry.

Otherwise, the washer will depend on hot water evaporation + air flow alone, which ain't going to get things super dry.

3. Even cheaper mechanical button models are the way to go for cheap rentals and fixability.

Don't all dishwasher have some plastic inside then? Even if the walls are metal, all of the other parts are generally still plastic

They're all like that now. it's an energy thing. My Samsung runs for 4 hrs on a cycle and the dishes are still wet in spots. Need to find an old KitchenAid from the 70's that still runs....
Yep. I refuse to replace my 30yr old dishwasher. Cleans and drys in 45min. I even went and bought all possible spare parts I could.

If you're going to the hassle of hundreds in install costs, plumbing, might as well get the best dishwasher you can. I personally went with a Bosch about 15yrs ago. Still works great.
If you know how to pull the old one out, the new one is just as easy as long as the dimensions match.

Only a handful of manufacturers make most of the
"brand name" appliances people https://www.familyhandyman.com/ar...ppliances/
